Dr. Hayton is a board-certified, fellowship-trained physician focused on adults managing multiple chronic conditions, multiple specialists, and medications that no one has taken the time to sort out.

After years in hospital medicine, large primary care groups, and the VA, a pattern became clear: patients with complex conditions were left coordinating their own care across specialists, medications, and systems — with no single physician responsible for the whole picture. Hayton Primary Care was built to offer a different model.
That model is simple: one physician, enough time, and a practice structure designed around longitudinal care — not throughput.

Inpatient consultations and outpatient SUD care for veterans; complex co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions.
Former Curriculum Director — UW Boise Addiction Medicine Fellowship
Previously led curriculum development for the fellowship, training physicians in addiction medicine across the University of Washington system. This role has since concluded.

You work directly with your physician
You meet with Dr. Hayton at every visit. Your care plan and decisions are handled by the physician who knows your case — not a surrogate, call center, or rotating staff.
One-hour new patient appointments
Your first visit is scheduled for a full hour. That’s enough time to actually review your history, medications, and concerns — not just the top two on the list.
Care continues between visits
For eligible patients, ongoing coordination — medication review, specialist communication, and follow-through — continues between appointments. Your care doesn’t pause until the next scheduled visit.
